Formula 1: A Global Passion

Formula 1 is not just motorsport: it’s a show, a science, a lifestyle. Every year, millions of spectators around the world follow Grands Prix, fascinated by the speed, the strategy… and the rivalry between drivers. And this passion is about to conquer movie screens too, with the eagerly awaited film “F1”, in theaters since the end of June 2025.

A Discipline Where Every Detail Matters

F1 is much more than driving laps around a circuit. It is:

  • An ultra-technological competition between teams;
  • Strategy decisions down to the last second;
  • Elite drivers with extraordinary concentration.

Fans love the tension at the starts, the risky overtakes, the unpredictable weather conditions — but also the behind-the-scenes: engineers, mechanics, team tactics. Each race is a combination of sport, intelligence and spectacle.

Formula 1: A Global Passion

A Worldwide Phenomenon that Attracts Young People

From Monaco to Silverstone, via Barcelona or the Spa circuit in Belgium, F1 is an international competition speaking all languages.

In recent years, it has attracted more and more young people, notably thanks to:

  • The Netflix series Drive to Survive, which popularized the behind-the-scenes;
  • Social media, where drivers share their daily life;

And also… the cinema!

“F1”: The Film That Will Make Screens Vibrate

Cinema has already taken an interest in Formula 1, but the film “F1” promises an unprecedented immersion in this universe which is both technical and spectacular. Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced in collaboration with champion Lewis Hamilton, it features Brad Pitt in the role of a former driver who returns to action to mentor a young talent in a fictional team… in a championship more real than life.

Filmed at real races, with onboard cameras, the movie offers an explosive cocktail of speed, tension, adrenaline — but also human relationships, team spirit, and a quest for redemption.

A mainstream film, ideal for discovering F1 from another angle, and perhaps inspiring new vocations among young viewers.

A Common Ground for Cultural Exchanges

What makes F1 exciting in the context of a language exchange is that it allows to:

  • Create a connection between young people from different countries around a shared passion;
  • Share moments (watch a Grand Prix together, follow a team…);
  • Discover iconic drivers and circuits in other cultures.

One might support Carlos Sainz in Spain, Lando Norris in England, or Pierre Gasly in France. Each country has its icons, its references… and its way of experiencing a race!

F1 is not just about fast cars. It is a global sport, a rich universe, a source of emotion and culture. With the release of the film “F1”, summer 2025 is the ideal occasion to introduce this discipline to young people and perhaps share it during a cultural exchange.

At Kinder Exchange, we know that passions are a great engine of communication. And sometimes, all it takes is one Grand Prix… to spark a great friendship.
