We are reaching the final stage of this exchange, a wonderful experience that will come to an end tomorrow with a short stay in Madrid.

After spending time together in Matalascañas, Huelva, Seville, and even enjoying a day in the Algarve, Portugal, we have nothing but gratitude for having had the opportunity to welcome Augustín into our family this summer.

We wanted to share this testimonial in the hope that it will encourage other families to embark on such an extraordinary experience.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Agustín’s family. A true friendship has been built, and we sincerely hope it will last for many years. They welcomed our son as if he were one of their own, and that is beyond measure. We never imagined this experience would be so meaningful and enriching.

Thank you, Arnaud and Sabine. Juan adores you, as well as Victoire and Constance. The memories of his stay in France last July, in the Fontainebleau region, as Augustín likes to call it and all the wonderful places he visited have now become part of his life’s journey.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

With all our affection,

Patricia

I am writing to let you know that today Sélène’s exchange came to an end, and it has been a real success.

The girls had very similar personalities and interests, and they had a wonderful time together, both in France and in Spain.

Both families made a great effort to organize a varied program with many activities, allowing the girls to discover the local environment, experience the culture, and, above all, improve their language skills.

Thank you very much for all your support. I would also like to thank you once again for making this experience possible. It has truly been a great success.

French exchange in France

A French-Spanish friendship between Maria and Zélie was born through this language and cultural exchange.

One year after our first conversations to arrange the exchange, I am delighted to let you know that we welcomed Maria from Friday until the Easter holidays.

Before Christmas, we suggested that she choose dates during her school vacation, and she immediately accepted with great enthusiasm. We couldn’t wait to welcome her!

Her parents have also invited Zélie to return to Madrid at the beginning of the summer. However, we cannot confirm the dates until we know when her final oral exam (Grand Oral of the French Baccalaureate) will take place.

I hope you are doing well and that you continue the wonderful work of bringing families together for these truly enriching exchanges.

Have a great week, and thank you once again!

Hélène, Zélie, Maria, and the whole family

Jeanne has just returned from her trip to Calgary, and she was absolutely delighted. The host family was incredibly welcoming, caring, and full of energy.

She had a truly wonderful experience thanks to you—your talent for organizing and overseeing the exchange, and for selecting such an exceptional host family.

On behalf of our entire family, I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you so much!

I wanted to let you know that Willa returns from Bordeaux tomorrow. She is finding it very difficult to say goodbye to Jeanne and to France.

Willa now sees Jeanne as a sister, and her French parents and brothers as a second family. I can’t express how grateful I am to you for finding us the perfect exchange match.

Willa and Jeanne will undoubtedly remain lifelong friends, and I would not be surprised if Willa finds her way back to France at some point in her life.

Thank you again. You did an outstanding job matching our daughters, and all the effort you put into these exchanges is truly worthwhile for the families you support.

Testimonial of the French-German and French-Spanish exchange between Emma, Hanna, and Violeta:

Emma, our 14-year-old daughter, went back to Hanna’s family in Germany for two weeks in July. She really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the Trier region, where the family lives.

Hanna is an excellent cook, and the girls loved challenging themselves by preparing delicious desserts together!

After that, we welcomed Hanna, her twin brother Jonas, and Violeta, Emma’s Spanish exchange partner, to Brittany. We had planned a sailing activity for the children.

In mid-August, Emma spent two weeks with Violeta’s family in the Sierra de Madrid. She enjoyed walks through pine forests, swimming in mountain streams, and shopping trips in Madrid. It was a wonderful opportunity for Emma to discover a new environment and culture.

In short, it was a summer full of wonderful exchanges, new friendships, and discoveries for the girls.

Testimonial of the French-Irish exchange between Hortense and Ella:

I just wanted to send you a quick message to let you know that Hortense came back from her stay in Ireland absolutely delighted. She spent two weeks with a wonderful family who did everything they could to make her feel welcome and at home.

She got along very well with her exchange partner Ella and her sister. Her host parents took her on a weekend trip to the coast, to restaurants, and she enjoyed many different activities and wonderful family moments (they played cards, sang karaoke, and shared many laughs together).

The goodbyes were very emotional, and Hortense would have happily stayed longer! I believe she was truly appreciated by the family as well, and Ella’s mother regularly sent me lovely messages throughout the stay. They gave her gifts and were incredibly kind and thoughtful towards her.

Regarding her progress in English, these two weeks allowed her to realize that she was able to make herself understood. It encouraged her to take the initiative, speak more, and gain confidence. Understanding conversations was more challenging at first, but she noticed a real improvement between the beginning and the end of her stay.

There is nothing better than full immersion! She is already ready to go back as soon as possible.

I don’t know whether Ella will want to do more exchanges in the future, but we will do everything we can to encourage her to come back to France!

Thank you to Kinder Exchange for giving Hortense the opportunity to experience this amazing stay that she had dreamed of for so long. She was not disappointed!

We would like to thank you for the perfect match between Charlotte and Cloé.

This exchange has been a great success. A wonderful friendship has developed between them, and for us, it was a real pleasure to welcome Cloé into our home.

Our two families share the same values and mindset, and the organization of the exchange, both in France and in Spain, was handled with great care and professionalism.

The girls got along very well, shared many laughs, and developed a strong bond. It was a real pleasure to see them together.

Thank you once again for the professionalism of the association, for your kindness, and for your availability throughout the process.

A few photos to share the girls’ summer experience with you.

Their first meeting took place in Toulouse, and they were both delighted to finally meet each other. At home in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, they enjoyed a wide range of activities: mountain biking, swimming, caving, table tennis… They also visited the Soulages Museum, a cheese dairy, and a goat farm at some friends’ place.

Then came a short stay in the Pyrenees, including hikes to the Pic du Midi and Gavarnie. They spent another week in Biarritz, where they took part in a surfing course. On August 1st, they flew from Bilbao airport to Andalusia, where they spent 15 days in Agua Amarga with Victoria’s family. They then returned to Oviedo, with a stopover in Madrid.

We went to pick up Chloé in Oviedo by car and spent part of the weekend with Victoria’s family. Of course, Chloé feels more comfortable speaking Spanish now, but the purpose of an exchange is not only linguistic. It is above all a wonderful life experience and adventure!

Our exchange between Lukas and Alexandre this summer went very
well indeed. In fact I think it surpassed expectations on both sides!
The two boys were very well-matched and had very similar personalities
and interests, which was wonderful.

Lukas was delighted with his stay with Alexandre’s family in Brittany
and really enjoyed himself. They went paddle boarding, surfing, played
football and volleyball and spent a lot of time outdoors and on the
beach. The family were very hospitable and welcoming and made him feel
very at home.

Alexandre has just visited us in Stockholm and it was a real pleasure to
have him here. He was very easy-going and joined in with everything,
making the most of the whole experience. We are now talking about a
repeat exchange next year.

Just a quick update… Sebastian came home late Friday night after having had a wonderful time on holiday with Octave on Ile de Ré. The french family were so kind and welcoming and he really enjoyed himself.

Sebastian and Octave both just seemed to hit it off so well together so thanks again for your « match-making » skills. Two years in a row
See attached photos of the boys on the beach and at Futuroscope in Poitiers.

I wanted to thank you for putting us in contact with Kinder Exchange for Eleanor’s French exchange and I am writing to let you know what a positive and wonderful experience Eleanor has had as a result. I also wanted to let you know that Kinder Exchange and the lady who runs it (Laure Colombier Chevalier) did a fantastic job in making all the arrangements and took great care of making sure everything was just right for Eleanor. Finally, I felt completely confident about the whole process of dispatching Eleanor off to France and the way Kinder Exchange organised it made me feel assured that Eleanor would be safe and well looked after – which she absolutely was !!

Rachael was made very welcome by Juliette’s parents in France. They made every effort so that she enjoyed her stay in France. She got a tour of Paris. She was up in the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triumph. She saw the Notre Dame and other famous landmarks in Paris. She also got to spend a number of days in Ile d’Yeu off the west coast near Bordeaux. She was also at Guédelon Castle where they are building a castle with the similar methods that were used in medieval times. Juliette’s mother was really good to Rachael during her time there and was really friendly and went all out to make Rachael’s stay enjoyable. Rachael definitely improved her language skills in France.

Ted flew off to Corsica on an unaccompanied minor ticket and for the next 10 days. Madame sent me mobile phone pictures every day. Ted in sunglasses on the beach, diving into a mountain pool,  with a gaggle of French boys, at the market,  delving into a vast ice-cream sundae,  eating pizza, up on a tree-top assault course.

He came back brown and very happy. He’d also acquired an unhealthy obsession with fireworks and hunted through Bristol high and low for bangers. Teddy had learned a language too. He spoke fluent French-accented English. « Pleeze pass ze buttergh. » We now had our very own little in-house Inspector Clouseau.  Read more here. Amanda M.

I was very happy with the exchange organised for my son, Sasha, aged 17. Laure and Carol found a lovely family and a charming French lad, and my son really enjoyed his time with them. We were nervous sending him off into the unknown, but Kinder exchange team was very reassuring and it all worked out excellently. It was also a lot of fun having the french boy over here, who fitted in really well. We are planning to do the same thing next year. I would recommend Kinder Exchange very highly.

I can highly recommend Kinder Exchange. There were thorough checks and references for both families to put us first time exchangers at ease immediately.

Laure and Carol provided a professional service with an excellent match to ensure a great exchange.
Our daughter Isabel really loved her time in  Provence, France and because herself and Claire were well matched with interests it was easy for both to fit in with all the family.

« It’s  a fantastic opportunity for students to experience French life at first hand and we really enjoyed having Claire visit our family. The girls are still in contact and will remain friends !Thanks so much at team Kinder Exchange! A pleasure to deal with.

The exchange went really well, they had great fun on Braddock Island, loved topper sailing and boats and cycling. Antoine was so lovely.

Tommie adored France and didn’t want to come home! Sailing and cycling in the south of France,  Sightseeing in Paris, somuch to see that he skipped the Musee d’Orsay and Le Louvre, but will go back. He came home so independent and confident having made a very good friend. Thanks for arranging.
